The twentieth batch of students of Bachelor of Dental Science (BDS) studying at the People's Dental College in Balaju of Kathmandu staged a demonstration against additional fees demanded by the college. The fee set by the BDS Medical Education Commission is 20 lakhs 19 thousand and 500. However, the college is demanding additional 7 lakhs an extra 25,000 as the registration fees according to students.
The students further accused the college of demanding the fees under various pretexts and of trying to raise the fee by threatening to close the college.
