Police charges baton in the ballot counting of Janakpur Chamber of Commerce & Industry

A dispute arose during the vote counting process of the new leadership of the Janakpur Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The dissatisfied side had been protesting, accusing that more ballot papers were seen than the vote cast. Surendra Bhandari, a candidate for the post of senior vice-president, has accused the Election Committee of the fraud in ballot papers.  Huge security forces were deployed in the vote-counting area after the dispute.

The Bhandari faction has protested against the Election Committee at Gopal Dharamsala by burning tires and pelting stones. 4 protesters were injured in the baton charge by police.
