The marginalized group of "Nepal Other Backward classes" (OBC) General Assembly staged a sit-in in front of the District Administration Office, Dhanusha, demanding that the children of those who have obtained naturalized citizenship should be given citizenship by descent.

Dozens of General Assembly cadres staged a sit-in for hours at the main gate of the district administration office on April 12. They have demanded the formation of an OBC commission, reservation in every state body and solution of farmers' problems

The General Assembly has also demanded the formation of Magahi, Bhojpuri and Awadhi Language Development Boards, the formation of the OBC Foundation and the declaration of Omprakash Mahato (Dilip) who was killed by the crusher mafia as an environmental martyr.
