NSU vandalizes Nepali congress's calendar unveiling program in Chitwan

Due to the dispute in the Nepal student's Union (NSU), the dissident group vandalized the program of exchanging good wishes and unveiling the calendar program organized by the Nepali Congress Khairhani Municipal Committee on the occasion of New Year 2078 BS. A group of youths vandalized the venue and chanted slogans against Congress district president Jit Narayan Shrestha and city president Shashi Khaniya.

Former Nepali Congress general secretary Prakash Man Singh was the chief guest in the program, demonstraters showed black flags to the chief guest, guests and other personalities. 

Two separate municipal committees were formed on the same day under the leadership of Amrit Acharya and Shekhar Basnet (Suraj) on March 25. Even when the two committees were being formed, there was a dispute between the party and the Nepali Union saying that the leadership had not taken any initiative to reconcile them.
