Police found the body of a man buried at Rinam in Dhorpatan Municipality-2 of Baglung district on April 14. After the relatives of the missing youth arrived in Baglung on April 15, the deceased's identity was revealed as Narayan Basyal of Kevarani Devchuli Municipality-3 of Nawalparasi district. Basyal, who had been doing business in Butwal, was missing since the night of February 16.
Preliminary investigation shows that Basyal was murdered in Butwal and his body was brought to Baglung to be disposed of. The Area Police Office, Butwal, on April 15 arrested Mitra Lal Khanal, a resident of Dhorpatan-2, who had been sharing a business with Basyal in Butwal.
Police said that "even if the accused confesses to the murder over financial transactions, it is difficult to bring the body to Baglung after killing him alone, further investigation is underway"
