Tshiring Phurwa Gurung, 27, of Dho VDC-6 and Tundup Lama, 45, of Dho VDC-4 died in the clash with the police on June 3. The clash occurred following a dispute between the locals and the Tshe-Phoksundo National Park mid area management committee, Suligad when the later tried to stop the locals from collecting charge to them on the top of the fee set by the government. The committee’s monitoring team heading from Suligad claimed that they tried to stop the locals of carrying out illegal act on which the locals became aggressive. Teams of Nepal Police and APF fired tear gas and charged baton in an attempt to take the situation under control.
