Saptari/July 6 Manita Kumari Khanga, 16, of Gorpar in Theliya VDC-7 has filed a case of domestic violence against her family at the District Court on July 6. Saying that her family frequently beat her up on charge of giving birth to a baby girl, she filed a case against her husband Dev Narayan Khanga, 35, his father Lakshman Khanga, 50, mother Saraswati Khanga, 45, and brother Suraj Khanga, 37. She has further accused them of demanding more dowry. The accused expelled her from house when she went to the VDC office on June 21 after the former refused to make her citizenship and the birth certificate of her child. The victim has demanded action against the accused and expenses of Rs 7000 to be extracted from the accused on monthly basis.
