The son of a victim (who was beaten to death) claims that despite filing a complaint at the District Police Office in Bara on April 5, the police are not taking action against the accused. On April 5, a group of ten people attacked 55-year-old Nesa Khatun of Kalaiya Sub-Metropolitan-9, Bara. When she was attacked with a bamboo stick, the victim's left eye, arm, and other parts of her body were injured. Nesa, who was seriously injured, died on April 5 while receiving treatment at Kalaiya Hospital.

The accused are identified as Sultan Ansari (58) Nurain Ansari (43), Samir Ansari (19), Mohammad Jaid Ansari (23) Prabej Ansari (20), Intehaj Ansari (19), Sohail Aansari (19), Ruksana Khatun (40), Gulbani Khatun (55) and Bhuwari Khatun (35). Among the 10 accused, police had arrested Samir Ansari, Sultan Ansari, and Gulbani Khatun. Police said they are investigating the incident and searching for the other absconding accused.
