A clash broke out between Armed Police Force(APF) and locals in Mahakali municipality-3 (former Dodhara Chandani Municipality) in Kanchanpur after the armed police stopped the local smugglers from importing goods from India amid the prohibitory order. The locals were stopped from importing sugar from India at the border after this, the enraged locals hurled stones at the BOP. Four members of the Armed Police Force were injured and six locals were injured in the clash. The armed police force fired eight rounds of tear gas to control the situation.
