Tehrathum,Balatkaarka aaropit praharidwara giraftaar. Tehrathum/July 9 Police have arrested Gauri Shankar Kadariya, 56, of Iwa VDC-4 on July 8 on charge of raping a 19-year-old girl. Aathrai Area Police Office sent the accused to the District Police Office after arrest. Kadariya is accused of raping the woman at cow shed on July 8 when she had gone to cut grass. The woman is speech impaired. The incident came to light after the victim told her family about the incident. Representatives of civil society handed over the accused to the police. DSP Uma Shankar Panjiyar said that the accused and the victim were being brought to the district police office. He added that medical check-up of the victim would be conducted in district hospital today.
