Police arrested a hotel manager on the charge of forcing a girl into prostitution in Kathmandu. According to the Bureau of Human Trafficking Investigation, the arrested is identified as Deep Shrestha, the manager of Deepalakshmi Guest House in Koteshwor, Kathmandu.

Police allege that a woman brought the victim to the hotel as a waitress and then the manager compelled her into prostitution. He was arrested on the basis of a complaint filed against him for allegedly h forcing the victim to have physical relation with a hotel customer and extorting money from her.
