Poonam Shahi, a 38-year-old Nepalese woman, was allegedly beaten by an Indian national while cutting grass near Dasgaja on May 8 in Baisakhi, Belauri Municipality-1, Kanchanpur.
The locals had protested against the incident and demanded action against those involved in the beating. After the locals' protest, Nepal Police, Armed Police Force, and Indian Border Security Force SSB also expressed concern over the incident.
