Humla/July 9 Locals of Kalika and Maila VDC have filed a complaint at the District Police Office Humla on July 8 demanding action against the VDC secretary. The locals have said that VDC secretary Kali Bahadur Hamal has not provided allowances for children, elderly, person with disabilities under the social security allowance since three years. They reached the DPO after four days walk to file complaint. Ratna Tamang of Maila VDC claimed that VDC secretary distributed the amount to only few in district headquarters Simkot and presented documents at the District Development Committee to settle his advance amount. The DPO said that VDC secretary Hamal and local development officer Shiva Prasad Rijal were summoned on July 8 after the complaint. An agreement was held between both sides to distribute the social security allowance of this fiscal year through the DDC in the presence of VDC secretary, LDO Rijal said. VDC secretary Hamal, who has been working since four years, said that some persons whom he had provided the amount to distribute in the village had failed to do so. Locals said that they were compelled to seek police help after their repeated requests to the DDC fell on deaf ears.
