Kathmandu, Balatkaar ko arop ma american naagrik pakrau. KATHMANDU, JUL 09 - An American national has been arrested for allegedly raping a German citizen on Tuesday. The Metropolitan Police Circle, Boudha arrested Johan Vintent Belejja, 56, of New York, from Boudha-based Hotel Green after a German woman, 47, lodged a complaint against the man. In her statement to the police, the German woman said both of them have known each other for a few days and were good friends. However, on July 5 at around 4:30 pm, the woman said she was rape d by Belejja in his hotel room. The German woman had lodged the complaint two days after the incident. Deputy Superintendent of Police Shyam Singh Chaudhary, chief of Boudha Circle, said the two foreigners seem to be good friends. Belejja has been saying that they were in a relationship while the German woman has been denying the claim. Chaudhary said further investigations are underway.
