Samyukta Bidhyarthi Morcha Thakur Ram Multipurpose Campus stage a symbolic protest by hanging inverted effigies of President Bidhyadevi Bhandari and Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli in Birgunj on May 24. The effigies were hung at the main gate of the campus along with the placards with slogans such as "Repeal the dissolution of Parliament.

The four major student organizations affiliated to the campus, NSU, Akhil (Revolutionary), Samajwadi Bidhyarthi Union, and ANNFSU, issued a joint statement appealing to all to unite in the movement against regression on May 23. The protest was staged following the statement.
