Police arrested 25-year-old Kisan Chaudhary of Bardiya Banshgadi-2 on May 31 on the charge of raping a 15-year-old girl. The accused had been working at Darma Rural Municipality as a laborer. He allegedly lured the victim, had eloped, and married her on May 30.

According to the police, the victim's side had lodged a complaint against the accused on June 1 on the charges of rape, child marriage, and polygamy. As per the complaint, the victim was raped on May 27.
