Police arrested 27-year-old Asgar Saifi of Bihar, East Champaran, and his wife Sita Thapa Chhetri alias Sakina Khatun of Damauli Municipality-5, on June 4,  on the charge of human trafficking. 

They were arrested on the charge of trafficking their 22-year-old sister-in-law Rima Gurung (name change) and a 20-year-old female, Bina Chhetri (name change) of Gorkha district. Police, locals, and relatives rescued them from being sold to India. According to the District Police Office, Parsa, the accused were arrested from Birgunj Metropolitan City-16.
