Three persons of the same house at Chautara Municipality were killed after their house collapsed. They are: Nandalal Adhikari, 50, his wife Sumitra, 40, and their helper Ram Bahadur Thing, 45. They died on the spot after the house collapsed on them at midnight. The couple’s son Subash, his wife Samjhana, and their two-year old grandson and daughter Rewati were injured. They are receiving treatment at the district hospital. Chief District Officer of Sindhupalchowk, Gopal Prasad Parajuli has provided Rs 120,000 relief to the Adhikari family. A team of health workers carried out postmortems on the bodies and also performed their final rites. Likewise, Som Bahadur BK, 55, and his wife, Suntali, 50, of Dhuskun VDC-2 died after they were buried under a mound of soil at around 3:00 am today. Suntali died on the spot, while Som Bahadur died while being rushed to Kathmandu for treatment. Likewise, Sunmaya Tamang, 30, of Bhotsipa VDC-4 died after the roof of her house collapsed on her at around 4:.00 am. Her children had managed to escape and are safe.
