RAUTAHAT: A 40-year-old man of Dharampur VDC in Rautahat has forcibly married a 13-year-old girl after kidnapping her, on Wednesday. Pintu Kumari Yadav (13), was abducted by a group of five villagers, who later married her off to Batahu Ray Yadav (40) of the same village. According to locals, Batahu and his helpers have absconded with the girl. Police are yet to crack their whereabouts. It has been learnt that the girl was returning her home yesterday afternoon after delivering lunch to her father Maujelal Yadav, who was working on a field. Pintu's uncle Pramod Ray Yadav accused local police administration of failing to stop the marriage even after being informed about the incident before the wedding took place. Police have arrested two persons on suspicion of their involvement of the abduction of the girl. Police identified the suspects as Batahu's uncles Mahadev Ray Yadav and Badri Ray Yadav. "We will soon arrest everyone involved in the crime," said DSP Bhim Dhakal. Dhakal further asserted that police were informed about the incident only after the individuals went missing after marriage. "We could have stopped the marriage had we been informed on time," he added.
