Five student organizations burnt effigy of PM in Kathmandu

Five student organizations have burnt the effigies of Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli in Kathmandu demanding restoration of parliament. The Joint Struggle Committee of five student organizations, including the Nepal Students Union, Akhil (Revolutionary), has protested against the authoritarian rule by burning the effigy of Prime Minister Oli. Police arrested some protestors.

According to NSU General Secretary Deepak Bhattarai, two students sustained minor injuries when the police arrested them. Police snatched the effigy from the protesting students.  Student organizations have also demanded that students and teachers be vaccinated against corona as soon as possible.
