Five-party opposition alliances of student organizations agitating against regression and bigotry in the political, constitutional, and educational spheres burnt the effigies of Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli and President Bidhyadevi Bhandari in New Baneshwor, Kathmandu on July 2. Nepali Congress, CPN-Maoist Center, CPN-UML Madhav Nepal Group, JSP and students' organizations close to Rashtriya Janamorcha have been staging protests against President Bhandari and Oli.
