NSU stage torch rally and burnt effigy of PM Oli in Kathmandu

Nepal Students' Union (NSU) staged a torch rally in front of Trichandra Campus against the government and burnt the effigy of Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli.

NSU accused Prime Minister Oli of becoming autocratic by dissolving the House of Representatives. Students' organizations close to five opposition parties, including the Nepali Union, have been protesting against the government across the country. They also accused the current government of increasing prices and failing to meet the basic needs of the people. Police interfered during the protest.
