A case has been filed against Durga Bahadur BK, 54, of Katunje VDC-3 on July 21 for assaulting Hiralal Dhamala, 64, of same place on witchcraft allegation. The police registered the case under Chapter 10 (b) of the General Code based on the victim's complaint. According to the victim, the accused BK accused Dhamala of bewitching his buffalo and beating him after him into his house on July 16. The victim had registered a complaint at the District Police Office on July 18 after which the accused was arrested the next day. SP Dambar Bahadur BK said that investigation was ongoing after extending the remand of the accused on July 19.
