Police arrested two persons on July 6 on the charge of being involved in human trafficking and smuggling. Among the arrested are Gaumati Gurung, 53, of Ram Bazaar in Pokhara Metropolitan City-10 and Aitimaya Gurung, 40, of Hanspur in Kaski Rupa Rural Municipality-10.

Police arrested the suspects on the basis of a complaint that the operator of the restaurant had threatened the victim and forced her to have sexual intercourse with the customers at the hotel. They lured the victim with a job offer at a hotel in the same metropolis-10 Ram Bazaar saying that they would do a good job.
