Five-party opposition alliance stage whistle rally protest against government in Kathmandu

Students' organizations close to the opposition staged a whistle rally protest against the regression. Nepal Students' Union, ANNFSU (Madhav Nepal), ANNFSU (Revolutionary), Samajwadi Vidyarthi Union and ANNFSU XI staged a joint protest at Maitighar Mandala on July 8 with a banner reading "Stop inflation, corruption and misgovernance, withdraw the rise in petroleum prices".

They accused Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli of becoming autocratic by dissolving the House of Representatives. They have been protesting against the government all over the country. They have also accused the current government of raising prices and failing to meet the basic needs of the people.
