A complaint was lodged against the 15-year-old boy by the relatives of the victim at the District Police Office, Salyan on July 8 alleging him of raping their 5-year-old daughter. Police informed that the accused attempted suicide on the night of July 7 after the family came to know about the rape. The accused was a relative of the victim. Though the investigation is continuing, the file is likely to be closed after the investigation as the accused has already died, police said.
