Province 1, Sunsari, Barah
Police arrested Roman Ram Dhami, a 30-year-old resident of Barahakshetra Municipality-3 of Sunsari from Gaushala in Kathmandu on August 2 and took him to Sunsari on the charge of acid attack.
Roman Ram allegedly chased his 28-year-old wife Saraswati Basnet, who took refuge in a neighbour's house after a domestic dispute over cigarettes and tried to throw acid on her on July 6. However, the acid accidentally fell on his 43-year-old neighbour Shyam Kumari Dhami that left her injured. The other neighbours Suman Raj Dhami, 21, and Sujan Raj Dhami, 19, were also injured from the acid when they tried to stop Roman Ram.
