A family of Ashok Sah of Mirchiya in Siraha district were brutally beaten by Ram Kumar Sah, principal of Shree Rajdevi English Boarding School in Mathaleshwor, Mirchaiya Municipality-10, for failing to pay school fees on time. The family members were yet to pay the fee of Rs. 5-6 thousand.
Ashok runs a "Paan" shop in Mathaleshwar Bazaar and while he was at the shop, Principal Sah reached there around 12:30 pm on August 9 to ask for the rest of the money. Despites of Ashok's request that he was facing financial problems due to the lockdown, Principal Sah said that he should pay the money immediately and started to beat him. When the other family members intervened, they were also beaten. Ashok's wife Sunita Devi Sah, daughters Sarita Sah and Anjali Sah were injured in the incident. Ashok and his daughter Sarita sustained serious head and arm injuries. The accused principal is absconding after the incident.
