CPN-UML has stepped up pressure on the speaker to dismiss 14 MPs. CPN-UML MPs also reached the office of Speaker Agni Sapkota on Friday. Speaker Sapkota did not come even after sitting for an hour and a half. When the speaker did not come, the whip Shanta Chaudhary called the speaker Sapkota. Speaker Sapkota, on the other hand, has informed us that he will not be in Parliament on Friday as he is out today. CPN-UML cadres picketed the Speaker's office for one and half hours and left after he did not turn up. 

According to CPN-UML leader Mahesh Basnet, speaking to former speaker Subash Nembang, speaker Sapkota had promised to look into the matter soon and had requested not to press him further.
