Absconding murder suspect arrested

ARGAKHANCHI, Hatya abhiyog ma CPN-M ka neta pakrau. JUL 30 - Police arrested a CPN-Maoist leader accused of murdering Yagya Prasad Acharya, of Deurali VDC-5, in Palpa on July 16, 2010, from Thada on Monday night. Bholanath Basyal, district leader of CPN-Maoist, was nabbed from the house of Hom Bahadur Rayamajhi, another district member of the CPN-Maoist, police said. Acharya’s wife Laxmi had lodged a complaint with the Area Police Office in Butwal, naming five people, including Basyal, as the murderers. The three other accused— Gobinda Khatri, Khagendra KC and Drohna GC—are already in police custody, while the fifth suspect is still at large. According to police, investigation shows that the five accused thrashed Acharya over a dispute while distributing extorted money among themselves. Acharya was also found to be associated with CPN-Maoist, and Basyal has been active in party politics in Argakhanchi for the past two years, police said. अर
