On September 2, a group of non-health workers assaulted Assistant Health Worker (AHW), Devendra Thakur, on the premises of the provincial hospital Janakpurdham for allegedly abusing a female health worker at the hospital. The group called Thakur during the hospital's regular meeting, stating there was an "emergency case," and assaulted him on the hospital premises. Thakur was injured in the incident. The identity of those involved in the incident is still unknown.
