Five days after six members of the same family were found murdered, the police in the Sankhuwasabha district of eastern Nepal have arrested a neighbour on the charge of the crime. The suspect has already confessed to killing them, according to investigators. The accused has been identified as Lok Bahadur Karki, who was a close neighbour of the victims. As per the statement given to the investigators, he wanted to kill Tej Bahadur Karki only. However, he decided to end the lives of other members of the family also suspecting they would reveal his assault.

Earlier, the police had identified him as the first witness of the crime as he was found giving interviews to the reporters about the crime scene.
