Under the banner of the United Patriotic Front, citizen leaders of Pokhara staged a silent sit-in in front of the District Administration Office at Sahid Chowk in Pokhara against the US Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) agreement. 

The participants staged a silent sit-in against the MCC with placards with various slogans. Civil rights activist Ram Bahadur Poudel said that they had staged a sit-in to pressurize the MCC project not to enter the parliament as it was against the national interest.
