Demonstrations have taken place in the home district of Prime Minister and Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba against the US Assistance Project (MCC).

Protests were staged at the district headquarters under the leadership of Bolanya Thali and ANNISU, chanting slogans such as 'Protect National Self-Dignity as a Social Campaign', 'Reject Unpatriotic MCC', 'Patriotic MCC is not in Nepal's interest'.

According to Bolanya Thali, the students chanted slogans saying that the passage of MCC by a sovereign people's representative body was fatal for Nepal and Nepalis.
