The Lokatantrik Samajwadi Party (LOSAPA) staged a demonstration in Janakpurdham on Sunday demanding an amendment to the constitution. Leaders and cadres of LOSAPA have staged a demonstration denouncing the promulgation of the new constitution on September 19 as a black day. The protest rally from Janak Chowk was held in different parts of the city and a corner meeting was organized at Janak Chowk again.
Speaking at the corner meeting, the speakers said that the protest would continue till the constitution is amended. State MP Parmeshwar Sah said that the constitution drafted by shooting the Madhesi people in the chest was still incomplete. He says that the ruling class has not complied with their call for a constitution for every Nepali.
He said that Black Day will be observed on September 19 every year until the constitution is amended. Saying that the people who want to make us people's representatives have given the mandate to oppose the constitution, he said that the opponents of the Madhes movement will also oppose the constitution that will remain in power. He said that. "Which constitution says it is not possible to oppose the constitution even while in power?" He asked. Former Member of Parliament Arvind, Member of Parliament Rukmini Mandal, Pramod Yadav and others had stressed on the need to amend the constitution.
