Police arrested four people on September 17 in charge of murdering 55-year-old Dhonni Tudu , also called locally as Doli who is originally from Jhapa rural municipality-1 but lived at Kishangunj Singhimari Gram Panchayat in India. Among the arrested are 23 years old Aitwar Soren from Kisanganj Singhimari Gram Panchayat-India, Lakhan Tudu Satar-37, Siri Saila-56 and Hemram Satar-27, all from Jhapa rural municipality. The upper body of deceased (above waist) was recovered by Nepal Police on September 10 at Sano Maikhola in Jhapa rural municipality-1. The police team deployed from Area Police Office Kumarkhod confiscated the perpetrators and made them public by organizing a press meet at District Police Office, Jhapa on September 22.
The police investigation showed that all the perpetrators are relatives of the deceased and they had quarrel about the land ownership.
