During a board meeting in Nepalgunj sub-metropolitan office, a clash erupted between Ward Chairperson and Executive members after the ward chairperson complained to executive members that budget spending was not transparent. While attempting to stop the fight, ward chairperson Samir Pratap Singh of ward no. 6 suffered serious eye injuries. An earlier board meeting had authorized the executive member to spend Rs 12 lakhs on the Dalit, poor, and deprived communities. Afterwards, chairpersons Kaufulbaraha Jolaha of ward no. 5 and Jumman Khaley of ward no. 7 discussed the issue of transparency in spending, executive member Deumal Sunar appeared as a counterpart, which led to a clash.
