Police arrested Ajayraj Bhar, a 19-year-old resident of Nawalparasi (Bardaghat Susta West) Ramgram-12 on the charge of murdering a 17-year-old girl after raping her. The victim died few days after the incident.

The victim's side lodged the complaint against the accused on August 8 alleging that the accused raped the victim on August 6. According to the victim's father, after the incident, the victim suffered health issues and was declared dead upon reaching Shahid Smriti Samudayik Hospital in Nawalparasi West for treatment. Police arrested the absconding accused on October 18.
