Director General (DG) of the Department of Foreign Employment Deepak Kafle has been beaten up inside his office in Buddhanagar. Information Officer of the department Kamal Gyawali informed News 24 that DG Kafle was mistreated in the working room on Sunday morning. According to him, the person who attacked the DG in the office was a party cadre. According to Gyawali, information officer of the department, the working style of the group who came to the office was violent.

Baneshwor Police is currently investigating those who tried to attack DG Kafle. The assailant is also said to have consumed alcohol. A few days ago, CK Raut-led party cadres attacked Rajesh Kushwaha, chief engineer of the Drinking Water and Sewerage Office, Janakpur.
