Datenji Sherpa, a 45-year-old resident of Solukhumbu's Khumbupasanglamu Rural Municipality-1, was injured in the attack when his wife attacked him with a khukuri and a sickle. The incident occurred on October 30 around 5 p.m., when a domestic dispute erupted following the consumption of alcohol.

According to police, Sherpa sustained injuries to his right arm, leg and back. He is being treated at the District Hospital, Phaplu. His wife was taken under control on October 31 and further investigation is underway, said Rishi Raj Dhakal, Inspector at the District Police Office, Solukhumbu.
