Police arrested two persons on November 2 on the charge of being involved in human trafficking and smuggling. The arrested are identified as 26-year-old  Arjun Pant of Tanahu Abukhaireni Rural Municipality-2, Jalparod of Pokhara Metropolitan City-8 and 24-year-old Biraj Rana Magar of Gorkha Gandaki Rural Municipality-7, Ghyalchowk of Chauthe, Pokhara.

The police deployed from the Ward Police Office, Baidam, found Arjun and Biraj, the operators of the same restaurant, forcibly taking a woman on a motorcycle, based on information that the accused had been luring and sexually exploiting women in the Sangina Khaja House at Jalpa Road, Pokhara Metropolitan City-8. They rescued the woman and arrested the accused.
