Police arrested Mukesh Sardar, a 24-year-old youth, a permanent resident of Arariya district, India, and currently living in Katahari rural municipality-7, on November 21, on the charge of raping and then attempting to murder a 4-year-old minor.
According to the police, the accused raped the victim on November 20 by taking her to Lohendra Khola, in Kalahari rural municipality-7, and attempted to murder her by throwing stones. According to the police investigation, the accused took the victim to the river when her mother and father were not at home. According to the victim's father, when they couldn't find their daughter at home, they found her unconscious and injured by the bank of the river.
