Gorkha/ August 8 Sudeep Thapa, 19, of Bhumlichok VDC-7 has been arrested by the police on August 8 on charge of raping two girls – one 7-year-old and another 9-year-old girl. The accused was arrested based on a complaint lodged at police office on August 8 accusing him of raping the sisters on July 23 and 24. The incident was revealed only after five days as the villagers pressured not to disclose the incident. The complaint was lodged by the father of the victim, who is in Malaysia, at police office, said her grandmother. The victim's grandmother said that the villagers pressured them to settle the case as they are the only family in the village who belong to the minority community.
