Law practitioners staged a demonstration in 18 different high courts in Nepal demanding the resignation of Cholendra Shamsher Jabara, chief justice on November 24. Secretary-General of the Bar, Lilamani Poudel, said that they were trying to explain why the Chief Justice had to be asked to resign by sending a representative from the Center to protest in the High Courts. The Bar has been protesting in the High Courts since noon. For that, Bar officials and central representatives have approached the high courts.
Central Chairman Chandeshwor Shrestha and Chairman of the High Court Bar Association Purnaman Shakya are participating in the Lalitpur Patan High Court. Similarly, senior advocates Shambhu Thapa and Tulsi Bhatt have reached Pokhara. Bar General Secretary Poudel has reached Janakpur. He also has senior advocate Surendra Mahato. Senior Advocate Harihar Dahal, Advocate Bhimsen Banjara, and others have reached the Birgunj High Court to protest. Kumar Sharma Acharya and Khimananda Adhikari in Ilam High Court, Central Vice President Man Bahadur Rumjali Rai and Advocate Mohan Ingam in Dhankuta High Court; Vice President Ishwori Bhattarai has been sent to Raksha Basyal, Dang Tulsipur, Min Bahadur Mahat to Jumla, Umesh Bista, and Prayagdatta Bhatta to Mahendragarh High Court.
