A person has been beaten to death in Bajhang. The deceased has been identified as 47-year-old Piru Bhandari of Jayaprithvi Municipality-7 Jwada. Bhandari was beaten to death by Dipendra Thapa of the same place on Saturday evening.

Thapa beat and attacked Bhandari with a wooden stick after they ran into a dispute while they were warming themselves around a fire in the Kuli dam. Bhandari who sustained serious injury in the beating was taken to district hospital for treatment where he died. Police have arrested Dipendra and are further investigating the incident.
