Police recovered three dead bodies of Kabita Hajar, a 26-year-old woman, her 6-year-old daughter Saloni and 4-year-old son Swagat from Sarlahi district Barahathawa municipality-1. According to the police, the locals informed the police after the family didn't wake up till late on November 28.

According to the preliminary police investigation, it is suspected that the mother poisoned her children before committing suicide. According to the police, Kabita's husband is in Malaysia for foreign employment.
