Different political parties staged demonstration in Madhav Narayan municipality Rautahat, demanding to appoint Deputy Secretary as Chief Administrative Officer. The demonstrators also accused Birendra Yadav, Mayor of appointing Aheb Jiyalal Yadav as a chief administrative officer for this personal benefit and out of his own selfishness. The demonstrators claimed that the Aheb, younger brother of Chulai Yadav, Jasapa's central committee member,  was appointed by using the political power and the former chief administrative officer, Prabal Kayastha was transferred.  

Nitesh Gupta, youth leader of Nepali congress claimed that the Mayor opened the opportunity for corruption by appointing Aheb and he also added that the Mayor has been involved in corruption since he has been elected, so they have to form protest against him.  

The demonstrators also chanted slogans against the Mayor and corruption. The agitating parties have demanded the immediate transfer of the acting chief administrative officer of the municipality and the appointment of a deputy secretary as the chief administrative officer, investigation of the corruption in the municipality till date and bills to be forwarded by the municipality under the right to information on the website of the municipality.
