Gulmi/August 11 Dev Bahadur Thapa, 40, of Thulolumpek VDC-1 and currently staying in Arbeni VDC-3 has been charged with murder of Deurupa Sapkota, 69, of Tallapokhara in Harmichaur VDC. Lakshmipati Sapkota, 70, husband of Deurupa filed a complaint against Dev Bahadur at the District Police Office on August 11 accusing him of killing Deurupa after rape at her home on August 7. DSP Raj Kumar Lamsal said that the accused was arrested from his home on August 10 following a verbal complaint by Duesara's husband. DSP Lamsal added that the accused was presented before court on August 11 and remanded in custody for 10 days. He said that the accused admitted killing Deusara by attacking with a spade after rape. Body of the deceased was handed over to her family after post-mortem at the District Police Office on August 9.
