The Father of a 12-year-old girl, who was raped on November 27, in JiraBhawani rural municipality-2, has been threatened to settle the incident. Police arrested 18-year-old Prabhu Sah Kanu on the charge of rape after the neighbours witnessed the incident. According to the victim's father, the accused raped his daughter when other members of the family were in National Medical College in Birgunj for treatment. The victim's father said that his daughter is was now in the care of Maiti Nepal and she is undergoing treatment at the hospital, the relatives of the perpetrator were pressuring him to settle and threatened to kill him if he did not reconcile.
