CPN-M municipal Chairman arrested on charge of abusing women people's Representatives

Police arrested Sher Singh Mal 'Diamond', the CPN-Maoist municipal chairperson, in Dadeldhura on the charge of abusing a woman people's representative Rajmati Aire. Aire is a ward member of Parashuram Municipality in the district. Chief Superintendent of Police (DSP) Devendra Pal of the District Police Office said that Mal was arrested on November 7 on the basis of a complaint lodged by Aire. Police said that they are conducting further investigation into the incident.
